Freelance Microsoft 365 Engineer — North Holland (hybrid/remote)

A small organisation in North Holland is looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer to handle the more complex technical challenges on demand. Not a daily helpdesk, but in-depth expertise exactly when it matters — from Intune configurations to security incidents in Defender. The client finds regular external support too costly, but still wants access to senior Microsoft 365 knowledge. You work independently and act as the go-to expert for everything the internal organisation cannot resolve on its own. What you'll do: - Provide technical support for complex Microsoft 365 issues. - Manage and optimise Microsoft Intune for device management, compliance and configurations. - Manage and support Microsoft Defender: security incidents, alerts and improvement measures. - Support SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive issues that go beyond everyday use. - Advise on and implement security measures within Microsoft 365. - Analyse and resolve complex problems that cannot be solved internally. - Periodically review the setup, security and operation of the Microsoft 365 environment. - Document key changes and the technical configuration. The workload is flexible and varies considerably: on average 8 to 16 hours per month, as needed.

Must-haves: - Demonstrable experience with Microsoft 365 administration. - In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune. - In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Defender. - Solid knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Conditional Access. - Experience with Microsoft 365 security and best practices. Nice-to-haves: - Solid knowledge of SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive. - Certifications MS-102, MD-102 and/or SC-300 to substantiate your level of knowledge.
